Style Forecast: 5 Staples for November

My first proper post! I hope you guys enjoy, I decided to pick out 5 items I think I'm going to wear the most in November. As you may know, it is currently Spring here and it is getting very hot very fast, so I want to wear more skirts and dresses and show off my legs more. So here are my 5 November staple items! Please excuse the blurriness and terrible lighting in these shots, I probably shouldn't have gotten so excited and tried taking pictures at 11 at night...

Yes, I can see it now, Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada giving me her death glare and saying "Florals for Spring. Groundbreaking." but this skirt is amazing, whenever I wear it I get compliments and it's perfect for days that are a little bit windier, because you can wear a skirt but not embarrass yourself because of an updraft, I can assure you I am a victim of this. It's got a nice weight to it because of the buttons down the front, and it has belt loops which is perfect for people with tiny waists. It's a gorgeous print that is sunny and you can pair this skirt with so much, I can imagine having a swimsuit on underneath this.

I love love love this! Topshop have some amazing one pieces and bikinis right now, I love how structured and simple they are. I bought this one piece online, my first online purchase from Topshop and as expected it took a while to come. I am a tad bit tall for this swimsuit however, but I just tie the straps a bit tighter. I adore the simplicity and the texture. The little ruffled box pleats are a lovely addition to the structured bust area. I chose black because I usually go for colour when it comes to swimsuits, but they have a great choice of colours in their range.

These shorts are an absolute summer staple, I do have to say that they are a little bit uncomfortable though, especially if your thighs are on the bigger side like mine are, but if you are used to that then they're fine. Denim shorts go with absolutely everything and these ones are high waisted, something I am obsessed with, so they look great with cropped tops, tucked in tshirts and overall anything you want. I have to say I actually don't know who Holly Ryan is, but I love what has been created with this collaboration, they are a bit pricier, but they're worth it in my opinion. They're stretchy, flattering and a really nice shade of blue.

Fourth Item : Bedroom Balcony Dress

This dress is unfortunately not available any longer on Modcloth, but I really love how unique the design of it is. It's very breezy and light for hot weather, and the embroidery is a really nice girly touch. I have actually broken the strap, so that's something to be aware of when buying spaghetti strapped things: ALWAYS bring safety pins with you! The print is simple but elegant and overall, it's something easy to chuck on when it's really hot or you're going to the pool and you want to look more done up but not overdressed.

I love that plimsolls are coming back in a big way, I also love the selection of patterns, textures and designs that Asos has to offer currently. It took me a lot of self control to only buy two pairs, but out of the two these are my favourite. They're iridescent! Perfect for my blog. I adore this oil slick/petrol look in nail polish and when I saw it on these shoes I had to have them. I think they'd look really laid back but chic with shorts and are perfect for all year round. I won't be wearing them next month when it gets hotter however, but for now they're perfect for school to jazz things up a bit and add an interesting element to basic outfits.

So there you have it everyone! My November staple items! I hope you enjoyed my first proper blog post. You'll be seeing lots more of me in the near future. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Zoe x
